Q & A

What is the wedding day itinerary?

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, please plan to arrive between 4:00 and 4:15pm. The ceremony will last until about 5:00pm with a cocktail hour to follow. Dinner will then be served at 6:30 with dancing starting around 8:45pm going until 10:00pm.

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

There will be an informal meet and greet at Ferment Brewing on Thursday evening, and an informal hang out in the park in the Saturday morning/afternoon. Check the events page for more details.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?

At this time, there will not be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s). If you know others attending, you are encouraged to carpool. There are also unfortunately no ubers/lyfts in the area.

Please plan accordingly as we want you all to be safe!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one? Am I allowed to bring my children?

Due to the space at venue, we kindly ask that you only bring those individuals specified on your invitation.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and dancing will be outdoors, while the reception will be indoors. There are misters on the patio where the ceremony will be, but unfortunately no air conditioning inside.

The ceremony chairs will be in the sun, but there is a patio that will provide some shade while waiting for the ceremony to begin and during the cocktail hour.

What is the weather like in the area?

Typically the weather is hot (anywhere between 80 and 90+ degrees) with west winds! Please stay hydrated!

What is the dress code?

Garden casual/Dressy resort - We want you to be comfortable, but looking good! Think classy outdoor summer wedding attire.

See examples below:

Guys: shorts, slacks, or nice jeans and button up shirt

Ladies: sundresses or full length dresses, rompers

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We will be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a family style sit-down dinner with a couple entrees and sides to choose from at the table.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

All dietary restrictions and allergies listed when you rsvp will be taken into account when deciding the final menu, so there will be options for everyone.

Will there be an open bar?

We will be serving wine and beer on us during cocktail hour and the reception until around 9:30pm.

As always, please drink responsibly! We love you all and want you to get home safe!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for!

If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 1550 4th St, Hood River, Oregon 97031 or a wedding card box will be at our reception.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Please aim to be at the Crag Rat Hut between 4:00 and 4:15pm

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

EAT:

Breakfast: Bette's Place - the portions are a good size and very family friendly, Egg River Cafe - a family favorite in Hood River and the spot we choose more often than not, Doppio Coffee - good coffee and nice light breakfast, Pine Street Bakery - amazing pastries and bread

Lunch/Dinner: Kickstand Coffee and Kitchen - we frequent here often for dinner, American style with a nice patio, New York City Sub Shop - really good sandwiches!, Solstice Wood Fire Pizza - good pizza, but you will need a reservation in the summer, Everybody's Brewing - located in White Salmon with good beer and food, White Salmon Baking Co. - never been but looks delicious!

SEE:

Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail | Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead - easy paved walk, Falls Creek Falls - moderate hike not too far from Hood River, Dog Mountain - hard but very pretty hike., Hood River Waterfront - hanging out at the hood river waterfront makes for great people watching and there will likely be lots of kite-boarders out!
